2010 Fantasy Baseball Rankings: Top 10 Outfielders

Shopping for an outfielder is sort of like shopping for a BMW. No matter what model you look at, you know it’s gonna be a pretty nice vehicle—I personally don’t own one, but you get the idea.

The outfielder position is as vast as the ocean, and luckily there really isn’t a significant drop in talent until you get to the near bottom.

Predicting Baseball's Division and Wild Card Winners

There will always be people who disagree with your opinion, especially when you do not pick their team to make the playoffs. This year and these predictions will be no different, and these are the teams that I truly feel will make the playoffs in 2010.

There are teams that have upgraded and teams that have downgraded, and teams that may be better without making many moves at all. The Rays come to mind when I speak of a team like this, the 2008 wonder team has a great chance to rebound and make the playoffs in 2010 as they did two seasons ago.

It's Not So Bad Blue Jays Fans

As the NBA All-Star weekend comes to a close and the Raptors get back to the grind, I find myself thinking more about the upcoming MLB season. The time until spring training can be measured in days and before we know it opening day will be upon us.

For baseball fans in Toronto, the first pitch will begin a season-long question and answer period. Even though we have little chance to make any kind of push, I will enjoy watching to see how everything turns out.

Kansas City Royals: Five Questions Heading into Spring Training

Kansas City baseball is currently in a rebuilding era, and has been for some time now.

One thing that is different now than in the past is talent in the farm system. This young talent, combined with off season acquisitions, will present interesting personnel scenarios for the Royals in 2010.

Scouting and team management will play a huge role in player development this season - to the chagrin of many fans - as they will have to decide which talent is most deserving of playing time and which requires more maturity or should be dealt.

Joe Mauer Extension Remains in Limbo as Pitchers and Catchers Report

The Minnesota Twins have spent the offseason making some roster moves that have fans anxiously awaiting the 2010 baseball season.

As if a new stadium weren't enough to peak the interest of the Twins-faithful, the Minnesota franchise has brought in talent in all areas of the field.

The first acquisition was JJ Hardy, an everyday infielder that gives the Twins some options at shortstop. Gone is Carlos Gomez in the deal to acquire Hardy after the center fielder struggled to make a name for himself after coming to Minnesota from the Mets in the Johan Santana trade.

MLB: Chien-Ming Wang Signs One-Year Deal with the Washington Nationals

According to Bill Ladson of MLB.com , Chien-Ming Wang is now officially former Yankee Chien-Ming Wang as he signed with the Washington Nationals for one year and $2 million with a possible $3 million in incentives.

Atlanta Braves' Jair Jurrjens To Have Sore Right Shoulder Examined

The Atlanta Braves will be holding their collective breaths as they await word on the health of one of their best pitchers.

Braves starter Jair Jurrjens will travel to Atlanta later this week to have an MRI on his sore right shoulder.

Jurrjens reported to camp a week before pitchers and catchers were scheduled to arrive on Friday, expressing lingering soreness in his throwing shoulder.

Will David Wright's HR Total Be Helped by Citi Field's Low Center Field Wall?

Much has been said about David Wright's home run total in 2009.

Mets fans everywhere are wondering if Wright will have a bounce-back season in 2010 power-wise, getting his total back up to the thirties that we're used to.

Well, the Mets are trying to help (or so they think).

Why The New York Mets Will End the 2010 Season Under .500

Last season was gutrenching, not just for me, but for Mets fans everywhere. This off-season, I expected some sort of shinning light or hope and all I found was a lame excuse for why the sun didn't shine. Time and time again, I always tell myself that "oh, the Mets will be fine this year, you gotta believe!" but other times I start to wonder what happened to the 2006 Mets I loved so much.

October 1965: Yankee Stadium Was Deserted

Bryan Kashmen passed by Yankee Stadium in early October, 1965. The ball park that would be destroyed following the 2008 season was eerily silent.

For the first time since 1959, there would be no World Series games at Yankee Stadium. Bryan felt so good.

Tired of the Yankees in the World Series

I couldn't root for the New York Yankees for many reasons that I will not discuss in detail. Let's just say that they had great advantages over their opponents with respect to money.
