Even though St. Louis Cardinals rookie sensation Michael Wacha proved to be human with his struggles in Game 6 of the World Series against the Red Sox, it’s undeniable that his future is insanely bright.

It was a two-strike splitter from Koji Uehara to Matt Carpenter that did the trick on Wednesday night. Carpenter swung and missed for the final out of Game 6 of the 2013 World Series, giving the Boston Red Sox their third title since 2004.

For the past year-and-a-half, money has been more or less no object for the Los Angeles Dodgers.

While nothing has been said about Rafael Furcal returning to the St. Louis Cardinals, if the right deal doesn’t come along, it could be the smartest option.

The free agent market for this year is extremely slim—and there’s little doubt GM John Mozeliak would rather spend dollars (which they have) than prospects (which they cherish).

We can make all the predictions we want about the upcoming offseason. But the reality of the prediction business is that each time a move is made that comes out of left field, a lot of the thinking that went into the remaining predictions can go right out the window.

Following their victory in Game 5 of the World Series, the Boston Red Sox are now just one win away from clinching their third World Series title in the past 10 years.

The remainder of the series will be played at Fenway Park, and the Red Sox would ideally like to close things out during Game 6. However, the St. Louis Cardinals are a strong opponent, and they are more than capable of winning two difficult road games.

There are a number of keys to World Series Game 6 that will have an impact if we see a decisive Game 7.

The St. Louis Cardinals have struggled throughout the 2013 World Series.  The team's offense has been nonexistent, the defense has been questionable at times and manager Mike Matheny's decisions have left many people scratching their heads.  Now they head back to Boston for Games 6 and 7, and even that is anything but routine.
