Tate Matheny to Red Sox: Twitter Reaction, Comments from 2015 MLB Draft

The Boston Red Sox used their fourth-round pick to select Missouri State outfielder Tate Matheny, the son of St. Louis Cardinals manager Mike Matheny, Tuesday.

With a little over a month remaining until the July 14 MLB All-Star Game, Major League Baseball released the third voting update for the National League Tuesday, and it features some extremely intriguing races.

From a talent perspective, Duke starting pitcher and right-hander Michael Matuella was one of the most intriguing players in the 2015 MLB draft. But injuries caused him to fall down the board before the Texas Rangers selected him in the third round.

Rafael Soriano to Cubs: Latest Contract Details, Comments, Reaction

Rafael Soriano, the well-traveled relief pitcher who has spent the last two years with the Washington Nationals, has reportedly found his home for 2015. 

Soriano agreed to terms on a minor league deal with the Chicago Cubs, the team announced Tuesday:

Braves Catcher Christian Bethancourt Hits 1st Major League HR & It's a Walk-off


If you're going to hit your first major league home run, you might as well make it a walk-off.

That's exactly what Atlanta Braves catcher Christian Bethancourt did Saturday night versus the Pittsburgh Pirates.

With the game tied 4-4 in the bottom of the ninth, Bethancourt crushed the first pitch he saw over the right field fence.

As expected, he was mobbed when he crossed home plate.
