New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter's latest present on his retirement tour came from the commissioner's office, as outgoing MLB boss Bud Selig presented the future Hall of Famer with the Commissioner's Historic Achievement Award.    

The New York Mets front office and dugout will look familiar next season with the team announcing on Twitter a contract extension for general manager Sandy Alderson and that manager Terry Collins will return in 2015.

During the top of the fourth inning of Monday night's game against the St. Louis Cardinals, Cubs bullpen catcher Chad Noble snagged a foul ball heading straight toward him with one hand. The catch was good enough, but doing it while sitting and holding a cup of coffee made it even more impressive.
