This may just be one of the worst defensive plays of the MLB season.

During Saturday's game between the Milwaukee Brewers and Colorado Rockies, the Brewers had the bases loaded in the top of the third. Rockies pitcher Christian Friedrich proceeded to throw a wild pitch, driving in a run. Catcher Michael McKenry then tried to throw back to Friedrich, missing the target for a second run to come home.

Baseball is a game of focus, but it's kind of hard to pay attention when thousands of bugs are fluttering around you.

During Friday night's game between the St. Louis Cardinals and Philadelphia Phillies at Busch Stadium, a horde of moths swarmed the field. Take a look at what the players were dealing with on the diamond:

Yasiel Puig's troublesome hip flared up again, this time on Friday night against the San Diego Padres. MLB.com's Ken Gurnick reported that after a flyout in the top of the eighth inning, the Los Angeles Dodgers star was visibly limping:

No longer will Joe Torre sit idly by as his official scorers are publicly ridiculed and questioned. Major League Baseball's executive vice president of baseball operations took David Ortiz to task for comments he made regarding a ruling during Wednesday's game between the Boston Red Sox and Minnesota Twins.

The Tampa Bays Rays' Matt Joyce did something you may never see again, no matter how many baseball games you go to.

Drew Pomeranz struggled against the Texas Rangers on Monday, but it was a chair that gave him more issues than the Rangers lineup did.

Per this ESPN.com report, Pomeranz broke his right hand by punching a chair after Oakland’s 14-8 loss Monday. The chair clearly got the best of the encounter, as Pomeranz is heading to the 15-day disabled list.
