Aroldis Chapman Sizzles in Debut as a Cincinnati Red

The electric debut of lanky Cuban lefty Aroldis Chapman lasted only seven innings into his first day as a Major Leaguer. Reds' skipper Dusty Baker said he would not use him in a tight ballgame.

With millions of goose bumps in Reds' country, ChapMania began on Tuesday night with an 8-3 lead over the Milwaukee Brewers.

Jeff Francouer Heads To the Playoff-Bound Texas Rangers

Jeff Francouer has been traded to the Texas Rangers in exchange for second baseman Joaquin Arias.

This trade was made just in time for Francouer to make it onto the Rangers' September expansion roster.

"This is going to be obviously a good opportunity for me to go play obviously against some lefties and go to the playoffs."

Francouer had been expecting a trade from the Mets as he wasn't being used in the outfield for most of the season. He is notorious for hitting against lefties, which is just what Texas needs.

The last time a pitching phenom was called up to the major leagues, he blew out his elbow three months later. The Cincinnati Reds are hoping that their pitching phenom doesn’t suffer the same fate.

Manny Ramirez To Join Chicago White Sox Tuesday: Does He Help the Team?

The Chicago White Sox announced Monday afternoon that Manny Ramirez had been claimed off waivers from the Los Angeles Dodgers and will join the team Tuesday in Cleveland.

The White Sox will be responsible for paying $3.825 million of Ramirez's contract this season.

With three trips to the DL this season and the inability to play defense, Ramirez will most likely slide immediately into the DH spot, which has been a black hole for the White Sox thanks to Andruw Jones and Mark Kotsay.

If he's convicted, he faces jail time of up to 30 years, and a fine up to $1.5 million. But the real damage was done today, as Clemens' not guilty plea has already sealed his fate.

Here are 10 reasons why Clemens' Hall of Fame dreams were dashed today.

Toronto Blue Jays News: Brandon Morrow, Kyle Drabek, and Jeremy Accardo

There was a lot of news surrounding the Toronto Blue Jays in the final weekend of August.

They were playing the Detroit Tigers on Sunday, and despite having one of his best strikeout totals, Marc Rzepczynski struggled to keep the ball in the zone and suffered as a result.

Three of the five baserunners he walked later came in to score, a costly result when he only allowed five hits.
