The Yankees were happy to leave Toronto after their first visit with the Blue Jays over the weekend.

This series provided a lot to think about in regards to what the Yankees are dealing with regarding strengths and issues.

Losing the first two games was making the Yankees look like has-beens. Thanks to Javier Vazquez’s impressive performance the Yankees avoided getting swept on Sunday.

Watching Saturday’s 14 innings proved that the Yankee pitching is pretty sturdy and continued to add more worries about the Yankee bats.

Since the Jeet man is chasing Gehrig's sacred numbers I thought I would compare the two...something Jeter himself would never admit doing.

They both had the basic same legnth careers, G-man 16 years and Jeet-man 15. Gehrig had three seasons of 15 or fewer games, two in the beginning and one at the end. Jeter had one season where he played 15 games...his first. Jeter will play for at least two more years.

We can all agree that the impact of rookies in any given sport is sometimes more crucial than that of their veteran counterparts.

Imagine if fans cast their All Star votes with the intention of actually picking the most deserving players.

How would things be different?

The All Star game has become a popularity contest.

Does anyone else hate when fans fill out their all-star ballots based on "star-power" rather than actual power?

I do, so I decided to compile a slideshow of what my 2010 all-star team would look like based on performance through May 30, 2010.

Writing up an entire roster would have taken too long, so this slideshow is only of my infield selections. Outfielders and pitchers will follow.

The Yankees got what they were looking for, they scored in double digits for the first time in almost two weeks. But Sabathia couldn't tame the tribe and Joba got scalped out of the bullpen.

When the Indians hang 13 runs on you it's time to make some changes, and it starts by moving Joba out of the set up roll ASAP, he now has an ERA of 5.84 and has three losses to his name.

The heir apparent to Mo might not be that apparent any more.

The Yankees have had some of the greatest players in Major League Baseball history. This list ranks the top 10 of those legends who wore the pinstripes very proudly during their stay in the Bronx.

To rank the players I used their individual stats while with the Yankees and their success in the postseason. I also took into consideration military service and career-threatening injuries.

Derek Sanderson Jeter made his major league debut 15 years ago today, May 29, 1995.

For any fan of the Yankees, and the game of baseball, it has been a great 15 years. We have all gone along for the ride with this great shortstop.

Jeter made his major league debut with the Yankees 15 years ago, when injuries to Tony Fernandez, and Pat Kelly, required the team to call up their young future star.

Eduardo Nunez is not really a common name among Yankee fans, but it soon could be.

While Derek Jeter has not had the best start to the 2010 season, Nunez has had a brilliant start down in AAA Scranton.

He is currently hitting .328 with two home runs and 21 RBI, he also has 12 steals and has scored 19 runs. Basically, he can do it all, except for fielding.

With baseball a full two months in the books, teams are starting to make their runs toward the All-Star break.

With so much parity in MLB, teams with nearly identical records are separated by a few spots, sometimes more.

There are still many teams in realistic contention for their division title, but I will narrow it down to five teams right now that we could see playing in late October.
