New York Mets starting pitcher Jacob deGrom was removed from Friday's game against the Philadelphia Phillies due to lat tightness, per Anthony DiComo of MLB.com. It's unclear when he will return.

The Los Angeles Dodgers started off the season a perfect 3-0 both straight up and on the run line, sweeping the San Diego Padres and winning each game by three runs or more. The Dodgers face a much tougher opponent in their weekend series against the San Francisco Giants.

It's always dangerous to compare a hyped-up rookie or a prospect who has yet to make his major league debut to a current MLB star, if for no other reason than those comparisons tend to are almost always misconstrued.
