While MLB contenders are enjoying the excitement of impending playoff baseball, several big-name players will be sweating over the final week in fear of missing out on the October fun.

Despite rumblings the Detroit Tigers were considering a managerial change for 2016, Brad Ausmus will be back for a third season with the team next year. 

Per the Tigers' official Twitter account, general manager Al Avila announced Ausmus will be retained.

Fact: The Toronto Blue Jays have clinched their first playoff berth since 1993, because of the remaining schedules of the AL West teams.
