New York Yankees

New York Yankees

My A-Rod Post

OK, so obviously, baseball fans by now have heard that Alex Rodriguez of the Yankees has done steroids. He said that he did them during his time with the Texas Rangers, when he won an MVP award. Oh wait....

Taking Steroids and Getting Away with It

With New York Yankees third Basemen Alex Rodriquez exposed a couple months ago for his past steroid use, the issue of steroids has arisen again. As with any major breaking news, ESPN has thrown this story on repeat. They even went so far as playing the same A-Rod interview four times simultaneously. For those players whose steroid use has somehow not brought to light, I have decided to offer a simple guide of how to handle getting caught.

My Name Is Shanan H, I Love The New York Yankees, and I Want Derek Jeter Gone!

No, I'm not writing this article for a lot of reads or comments, I really want the Yankees to trade the aging Derek Jeter, face of the Yankees, No. 1 draft pick, sure-fire Hall of Famer, and the only Yankee with a number less than 10.

Actually, I have written two articles about trading Jeter:

John Sterling: A Gaze into the Heart, Soul, and Mouth of Yankees Radio

Most fans of baseball tend to recognize Mel Allen, Phil Rizzuto, or Bob Sheppard as the historical voice of the New York Yankees.

For as long as America’s pastime is continued, cleats, pine tar, bats, and high socks will be as American as hot dogs and apple pie.

On the same token, the aforementioned voices of Yankee past will forever be linked to the Bronx as definitively as Babe Ruth, Mickey Mantle, Joe DiMaggio, and Lou Gehrig.

New York Yankees and Alex Rodriguez Need Each Other

2009 was supposed to be a “Return to Glory” for the New York Yankees. They were opening a grand new ballpark. They spent wildly in the offseason on the three premier free agents on the open market, putting Pinstripes on Mark Teixeira, CC Sabathia, and AJ Burnett.
Despite the positive news, the Yankees’ offseason was overshadowed by the many tales of Alex Rodriguez. Steroids. Madonna. Hip surgery.

Momentum Brewing in the Bronx?

So far this season, the New York Yankees pitching staff could be described as baseball’s spaghetti western: they’re “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.”

Yet, after their rousing, come-from-behind-despite-leadng-early 10-9 win over the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim of Orange County of California of the United States of America, the Yankees have won four straight, and they seem to be building momentum.

A-Rod Details Revealed in New Book: He Is a Douche

Selena Roberts is coming out with a new tell-all book about Alex Rodriguez.

I haven’t read the book and only have heard tiny bits of information.  So far, it sounds like it doesn't have one ounce of journalistic value.

The New York Yankees April Awards Ceremony: Who Brings Home the Trophies?

Alex Rodriguez: Wiping His Butt With the Fabric of America

It has often times been said that baseball is part of the fabric of America.

I'm not trying to pass quick judgement on Alex. But I will say this, if he DID tip Pitches off to opponents, then he has wiped his a*s with the fabric of America.

I hope that he didn't do it. We already know he did steroids, he's the highest paid baseball player that has ever walked, skipped, jumped, or crawled on the earth and some historians are already putting him ahead of the old greats like Honus Wagner as the best Shortstop in history.

New Idea: Trade Derek Jeter to the Red Sox

My original idea was to trade the Yankees captain to the Padres, but that idea was gone with the Yankees win-loss record. So now, I have a brand knew idea:

Trade the Yankee's captain to the rival Red Sox.

Why?

Well, first off the Red Sox could really use a short stop (Julio Lugo?). Second, they have some great prospects I would love the Yankees to have.

Now, who would the Red Sox give the Yankees for Jeter?
