The San Diego Padres announced have found their next manager, as the team hired Arizona Diamondbacks third base coach Andy Green. 

The shake-up in Los Angeles has already started. 

The five-year marriage between Don Mattingly and the Los Angeles Dodgers came to an end Thursday as the two sides announced they had mutually agreed to part ways, per Ken Gurnick of MLB.com.

The Los Angeles Dodgers and manager Don Mattingly mutually agreed to part ways Thursday, according to the club's official Twitter account. Now, the search for a new manager is underway.

It's time for them to find a manager their front office of analytical all-stars can truly embrace. It's time for him to find a team that truly appreciates what he can do.

The San Diego Padres spent big money last offseason to acquire legitimate talent, but, after a wildly disappointing season, it's clear the team was and still is missing a large piece.

That piece is leadership.

It was also clear at the beginning of the season that manager Bud Black was in over his head with his new group of players. Matt Kemp, Justin Upton and other big-name acquisitions failed to produce early, and Black suffered for it. 

The Los Angeles Dodgers’ postseason run ended in the National League Division Series against the New York Mets, and catcher Yasmani Grandal will reportedly undergo left shoulder surgery with an eye on returning to health next season.

Turner to Have Surgery

Tuesday, Oct. 20

The Dodgers announced on Tuesday that Turner will be having arthroscopic surgery on Thursday to "clean up loose bodies" in his left knee.     

For a time, 2015 seemed like the year the Los Angeles Dodgers finally had things figured out. After four years of trying under the current ownership group, their magic formula for winning the World Series looked like it was on the right track.

In the end, however, the Dodgers find themselves going back to the drawing board yet again.

After the Los Angeles Dodgers failed to meet expectations for the third consecutive season, falling in five games to the New York Mets in the National League Division Series, you can be sure that changes are coming to the team.
