On Tuesday afternoon, a handful of former MLB players' lives may change forever. 

When the 2015 MLB Hall of Fame voting results are announced on Tuesday, Jan. 6, at 2 p.m. ET, a lucky few will go from great players to legends. From "I remember that guy" to, "I'll never forget that guy." From star to Hall of Famer. 

It may appear as if most of baseball is still sleeping off the effects of their New Year's Eve festivities given the relative lack of action and chatter on the rumor mill, but rest assured, general managers are indeed awake, and sooner rather than later, we're going to see some deals come to fruition.

The Baseball Writers' Association of America will announce the 2015 MLB Hall of Fame class Tuesday, Jan. 6, at 2 p.m. ET, as this year's crop of candidates will look to follow up what was an impressive 2014 class.

Many of the big dominoes have already fallen on the 2015 MLB offseason, but with roughly a month and a half to go until pitchers and catchers begin reporting to spring training, there is still work to be done this winter.

Ever since the departure of former shortstop Jack Wilson, the Pittsburgh Pirates have been searching for an everyday player who could potentially become their franchise shortstop.  

Wilson had a successful career in Pittsburgh, serving primarily as the Pirates' everyday shortstop from 2001-2009.  In 1,159 career games with the Pirates, Wilson batted .269 with 60 home runs, or roughly 10 home runs per season.  

If Yoan Moncada was eligible for MLB's annual first-year player draft in June, he'd be in the running—if not stand as the overwhelming favorite—to be selected with the first overall pick.

Joc Pederson emerged from the woodwork in 2014 to become a relatively household name among Los Angeles Dodger fans. The year before, Yasiel Puig filled that role.

With about a month left to go in the MLB regular season, I took a crack at predicting the Cubs' 2015 Opening Day roster. While a lot remains unchanged, there are a lot of new players who have been added to the mix this offseason. 

With spring training just around the corner and the new year being rung in, it feels like the MLB offseason is over. However, for the Chicago Cubs, like most other teams in the league, there is still some work to be done. Even though the bulk of Chicago's offseason moves have likely already been made, it will still look to improve its 2015 roster.

You can bet, like most people, the players on the Oakland A's have New Year's resolutions for 2015.

During the week of Christmas, I asked A's fans what would be on their wish list. This week I'll keep the holiday spirit alive and venture a guess as to what many of the A's starters' New Year's resolutions might be, specifically pertaining to the 2015 baseball season.
