San Francisco Giants Fans Should Be Embarrassed

And if you were at AT&T Park watching last night's game against the Washington Nationals and booing—booing —Tim Lincecum, you should be ashamed of yourself.

You're also amongst the dumbest life forms on the face of this planet.

Life forms, not just humans or even animals.

I'd wager on an amoeba or protozoa if you were matched against one in a battle of wits. In fact, you're too stupid to breed or drive an automobile. Sadly, you're probably allowed to do both.

The point is, you're a moron. Plain and simple.

Let's review.

San Francisco Giants' Pitchers Need To Improve

Do the Giants really need pitching to overtake the pesky Padres?

Really?

It appears so, because I saw Lincecum struggle through his second start in a row, and the bullpen blow another lead that would have given him six wins.

Sure, Lincecum struggled, but the entire staff needs improvement.

My main point of emphasis is the wild pitches.

The Giants let another game get away with another WP thrown to give the Dbacks the lead. It's happened too many times already this season, and not just a few are at fault.

Tim Lincecum Struggles, but Giants Get Him Off the Hook: A True Rarity

Odds were, Tim Lincecum had to have a bad game at least once this season. Tonight against Arizona was one of them.

Five earned runs for a starter in five innings (for a game ERA of 9.00 as opposed to his season average of 1.76) usually results in a loss even for teams with far greater offensive firepower than San Francisco (as
it did tonight).

Yet after spotting the Diamondbacks five runs in the bottom of the fifth, Lincecum was suddenly (albeit briefly) in position to win the game after the Giants offense erupted for a five-run sixth to go on top 7-5.

Doc Halladay and the Much-Too-Early 2010 NL All-Stars

I know what you’re thinking.

“All Stars? It’s only the beginning of May!”

Well, believe it or not, All Star voting is well underway. MLB opened the ballots for this year’s game in Anaheim on April 20th, the earliest in the league’s history!

Before you fill out your ballot, let me show you who I think should represent the National League in this summer’s showdown with the American League.

If the Giants Can Learn To Finish, They're on the Brink of Something Big

Enough with watching these Giants snatch defeat from the jaws of victory and having to listen to some knucklehead impersonate a first-grade teacher and say, "There's no reason to panic. It's still early in the season."

Oh, we'll hang with the Giants through all 162 games. It's the folks who think anything short of accepting every loss gracefully is actually a show of pure panic.

San Francisco Giants' Faithful Need To Show More Faith

Every now and again, certain fans like to remind the sports' landscape that the word is short for "fanatics," which comes to us from the Latin "fanaticus ." The latter means "insanely but divinely inspired."

Yep, that about covers it.

Although I'm not sure Chicago Cub aficionados would agree with the "divine" bit.

Tim Lincecum vs. Roy Halladay: Who's Better?

Most would agree that Tim Lincecum and Roy Halladay are in the top tier of starting pitchers in all of baseball right now. There are certainly other names that could be in the argument such as C.C Sabathia, Chris Carpenter, Adam Wainwright, Felix Hernandez, among other. However, for the sake of this argument we will compare Lincecum and Halladay.

To clarify, this is not choosing who I like better or who I would build my team around.

Buster Posey, Juan Uribe, and Pedro Martinez Could Put Creative Giants On Top

Save your sabermetrics and your OPS and OBS and all those other statistics that address a hitter's ability to produce.

The 2010 San Francisco Giants, when healthy, score a few more runs a week than the 2009 Giants did. This bunch, however, is no better than last year's club at scoring a run when they really, really, need one.

The easiest way to score a run is, naturally, to jack a ball over the fence. Pablo Sandoval is a consistent home run threat. Beyond Sandoval, the club is without a true source of power.

Fantasy Baseball Around the Majors: 4/23: Dunn, Lincecum & More

Adam Dunn finally made a splash.  The Mets finally tried Jose Reyes hitting third.  Tim Lincecum proved again why he’s the best pitcher in the game.

Let’s look at these stories and all the rest from yesterday’s games:

2010 Fantasy Baseball Pitchers: Week Two Top Guns Report

This is a weekly focus on the hurlers that dominated their adversaries. These pitchers put up nasty numbers and made big league hitters wish they were playing Tee Ball again.

1) SP Ubaldo Jimenez COL

Ubaldo Jimenez is pitching the best baseball of his life. Jimenez gave Colorado their first no-hitter in franchise history. He struck out seven and pitched 128 pitches.

He has a 1.29 ERA after a flawless pitching performance and has a perfect 3-0 record.
