MLB’s winter meetings in Orlando have reached their conclusion, but plenty of deals still have yet to be made in the baseball world. On the final day of the meetings, the San Francisco Giants made the biggest deal of the day, signing outfielder Michael Morse.

The MLB winter meetings were lacking in major transactions, but all 30 teams returned home with a better understanding of their roster needs and which players are capable of addressing them.

Rest assured, front office staffs intend to continue exploring free agency and the trade market in preparation for the 2014 season.

Day two of the winter meeting got off to a bang as the rumored three-team deal between the Arizona Diamondbacks, Chicago White Sox and Los Angeles Angels came together rather quickly and was a reality by early afternoon.

With one more day before the focus turns to the Rule 5 draft on Thursday, expect at least a few more big free agent signings and/or trades to happen over the next 24-30 hours or so.

Former Major League Baseball pitcher, and current ESPN baseball analyst, Mark Mulder announced he is attempting a return to baseball, according to ESPN's Jerry Crasnick.

Mulder retired in 2009 after two surgeries on his left shoulder and after having realized he couldn't pitch at a high level again:

The action was modest through the first two days of the Winter Meetings in Lake Buena Vista, Fla., with a couple of secondary-type signings taking place, as well as the interesting three-way trade between the Angels, Diamondbacks and White Sox.

Outfield prospect Brandon Jacobs is reportedly one of the mystery names involved in a blockbuster three-team deal involving Mark Trumbo between the Arizona Diamondbacks, Los Angeles Angles and Chicago White Sox.

Mark Mulder reportedly wants to attempt a comeback to Major League Baseball.

The former starting pitcher and current ESPN analyst hasn't stepped on an MLB mound since 2008, but according to Jerry Crasnick of ESPN.com, he was encouraged after watching Los Angeles Dodgers reliever Paco Rodriguez's delivery during the 2013 playoffs.

Attention, everyone. One of the more notable left-handers on the trade market has been dealt.

No, not David Price. It's Brett Anderson who's been traded.

In any trade, the ultimate goal is for each team involved to get a positive return on the deal. This normally isn't the case, as it's fairly easy to go back and decide which team "won" an actual trade. And some trades involve multiple teams, which makes it even more difficult to end up with a "win-win-win" situation. 

This offseason has been particularly busy. But the winter meetings have traditionally been the greatest vehicle for wheeling and dealing.
