2013 New York Yankees: 3 Things to Like

The New York Yankees off-season has been a quiet one due to ownership implementing a new frugal stance.

Instead of story-lines about signing the biggest free agents, Yankee fans were relegated to watching the realities of missing the 2013 postseason grow by the day.

So as a result, fans, the media, and bloggers alike have been provided with plenty of things to grumble about.

Forecasting the 2013 Boston Red Sox Rotation

In 2012 the Red Sox suffered their first losing season in 15 years and fired manager Bobby Valentine just one year into his tenure with the organization.

Injuries, poor play, and attitude problems have plagued the Red Sox since September 2011, when they suffered an epic collapse, going from being the best team in baseball to missing the playoffs entirely.

Ranking MLB's Best Ballpark Attractions

New stadiums are taking shape in a number of different ways, continuing to evolve the game-day experience. Despite that, the older stadiums are in no way slighted, as they too have their own unique features that set them apart.

Some of these features are the most longstanding and notable in baseball, while others are newer and represent the birth of tradition as stadiums are erected.

2013 Fantasy Baseball Rankings: Top 10 Catchers

Over the years, many fantasy baseball aficionados viewed the catching position as one that could largely be ignored in auctions and drafts. While there have always been a handful of catchers worth owning, they often went for too much money in auctions or far too early in drafts, so many owners filled their slots with $1 pick-ups (auctions) or late-round fliers in drafts. The best thing these owners could say about their catchers was "His batting average won't kill me" or "He will not get enough at-bats to skew my average."

Will Playing in the WBC Help or Hurt Adam Jones' 2013 MLB Season?

Playing in the World Baseball Classic every three or four years for your respective country is a great honor that every major league ballplayer has to have in the back of his mind.

This March, the third annual World Baseball Classic will take place. Spring training begins on March 1 for the Orioles, and the first game of the WBC is on March 8.
