The MLB winter meetings may have left baseball fans with more questions than answers as a number of top names still have yet to find new homes, but that will only add drama to the coming months leading up to spring training.

The  biggest free-agent names will get all the attention. But while closers like Rafael Soriano, Joakim Soria and Jose Valverde have made headlines, they're not the only relievers who could make a difference next season.

The Michael Young trade that had been hinted at for so long has finally happened, with prospect Josh Lindblom being the key piece in the deal.

The Texas Rangers and Philadelphia Phillies have agreed to a trade that will send designated hitter/infielder Michael Young from the American League to the National League where he'll join the 2008 World Series champions, according to a report from USA Today reporter Bob Nightengale. 

While the biggest names on the free-agent market—Josh Hamilton and Zack Greinke—remain in play, teams have not waited for those two to find new homes before making moves of their own.

The action on the free-agent market might not be coming as fast and furiously as some would like, but teams are slowly and steadily adding key pieces as they build their rosters towards World Series runs in 2013.

As the New York Yankees stick to their claim that a reduction of payroll is imminent this year, they must be forced to consider that a trade for Arizona's Justin Upton might put them in the World Series.

For a five- to six-year span, Sammy Sosa was one of the best home run hitters in MLB. 

With Sosa eligible to be voted into the Baseball Hall of Fame for the first time, the question is whether or not he belongs with the greatest players in the history of the game.
