Many would argue that Mike Trout is without peer in today's MLB. On Friday night, he set himself apart in the baseball record books. 

In the top of the sixth inning against the Houston Astros, the Los Angeles Angels outfielder drilled a two-run homer off Roberto Hernandez to give his team a 3-1 lead.

"Just give him the Gold Glove now."

That was the announcer's reaction to Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Kevin Pillar's amazing catch in left field on Friday night.

In the sixth inning of the Blue Jays' game vs. the Atlanta Braves, Pillar sprinted toward the infield chasing after a Freddie Freeman flare.

The MLB season is only a couple weeks in, but it's never too early to look at teams' trade assets. Every team has some; the Cubs have several.

Unlike in past seasons, the Cubs may be buyers rather than sellers at this year's deadline. That could mean they're trading minor league or major league assets. It could also mean they're standing pat.

Although the 2015 MLB season is less than two weeks old, it's never too early to start combing the rumor mill for the next potential trade or free-agent signing.
