Despite their disappointing 2014 season, the Boston Red Sox are one of baseball's better-positioned franchises when it comes to immediate future success. They have a wealth of talent in the minor leagues, several established stars in the majors who should continue to perform and young studs who are just cutting their teeth at the MLB level.

Adam Wainwright clearly never took a lesson in integrity from the Derek Jeter school of baseball.

In interviews following his All-Star game start, Wainwright told reporters that he put his first-inning, 1-0 pitch to Jeter on a tee:

Derek Jeter was the biggest storyline of the 2014 MLB All-Star Game. After all, it was the New York Yankees shortstop's 14th and final All-Star game of his 20-year career.

Given the situation, it's hard to fathom how CBS News made a glaring mistake when tweeting out a story about Jeter. It was just an honest mistake, but with all of the attention that Jeter has received leading up to the game, it's pretty funny.
