Homer Bailey, Cincinnati Reds
Bailey gave up three hits in six scoreless innings to improve to 2-2 with a 4.92 ERA.
Michael Brantley & Justin Masterson, Cleveland Indians
Brantley went 2-4 with two runs, a HR, and three RBIs to raise his average to .203. He is 7 for 17 in his last four games. Masterson gave up one run in six innings, but did not factor into the decision.
Jeremy Hellickson, Tampa Bay Rays
Hellickson gave up one run with five strikeouts in six innings to improve to 3-0 with a 1.35 ERA.
Jhonny Peralta, Detroit Tigers
Peralta went 2-5 with a pair of HRs and three RBIs. He’s hitting .238 with 11 HRs and 50 RBIs.
J.A. Happ, Houston Astros
Happ gave up two runs on three hits with five strikeouts in six innings to improve to 3-1 with a 3.38 ERA. He’s allowed three runs in his past two starts (12-1/3 IP).
Bryan Bullington, Kansas City Royals
Bullington allowed two hits with five strikeouts in eight scoreless innings as he earned his first career win.
Kevin Slowey, Minnesota Twins
Slowey threw seven innings of scoreless no-hit ball as he improved to 11-5 with a 4.22 ERA. He recorded five strikeouts. Slowey is 3-0 with a 1.57 ERA in his past four starts.
Miguel Tejada, San Diego Padres
Tejada went 3-4 with a run and two RBIs to raise his average to .270. He is 11 for 30 in his last seven games.
Kyle Kendrick, Philadelphia Phillies
Kendrick gave up one run in 6-2/3 innings to improve to 8-5 with a 4.45 ERA. He’s 3-1 with a 3.38 ERA in his last five starts.
