Guillen smacked another HR, his fourth, as he went 2-for-4 with two runs to improve to .313 on the year.
Brian Bannister, Kansas City Royals
Bannister pitched another solid game (6.1 IP, two runs, four hits) only to fall victim to his bullpen (1.2 IP, four runs). His ERA sits at 2.19.
Jeff Mathis, Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim
Mathis went 2-for-4 with a run to bring his average to .350.
Andy Pettitte, New York Yankees
Pettitte tossed a gem, going six scoreless innings, allowing five hits, and striking out six. He’s 1-0 on the year with a 0.75 ERA.
Ricky Romero, Toronto Blue Jays
Romero was a beast, giving up two runs on one hit over eight innings while racking up 12 Ks. His ERA is 1.80.
Felix Pie, Baltimore Orioles
Pie went 3-for-5 with a run to raise his average to .438.
Ty Wigginton, Baltimore Orioles
Ty smacked a pair of HRs and had three RBI. He’s hitting .286.
Jonny Gomes, Cincinnati Reds
Gomes went 2-for-4 with two runs, a HR, and four RBI. He’s hitting just .211.
Cody Ross, Florida Marlins
Ross went 2-for-4 with two runs, a HR, and four RBI to raise his average to .303.
Seth Smith, Colorado Rockies
Smith went 2-for-5 with a HR and three RBI. He’s hitting .250.
Miguel Olivo, Colorado Rockies
Olivo went 2-for-5 with a run. His average is .438 on the year.
Greg Smith, Colorado Rockies
Smith went seven innings for the win, allowing two runs while striking out eight.
Milton Bradley, Seattle Mariners
Bradley went 2-for-4 with a game-winning three-run HR. He’s hitting just .115 on the year though.
Doug Fister, Seattle Mariners
Fister pitched a gem, throwing eight scoreless innings. He allowed just three hits, struck out four, and did not issue a walk. He’s now 1-1 with a 1.50 ERA.
