Fantasy Baseball Free Agent Pool: 2010 Speed Demons Vol. 4

Just because you’ve slipped behind in the Stolen Base category doesn’t mean you can’t catch up.  Here are some reasonably available SB threats.

Angel Pagan, OF, New York Mets (pictured)
Pagan ran wild over the past 15 days collecting 6 SBs while hitting .321 with 8 runs, 1 HR, and 5 RBIs. On the year, he’s hitting .294 with 11 SBs, 32 runs, 4 HRs, and 25 RBIs. Angel is owned in 49 percent of ESPN and CBS leagues.

Andres Torres, OF, San Francisco Giants
Torres had 5 SBs over the past 15 days while hitting .305 with 12 runs, 1 HR, and 3 RBIs. On the year, he’s hitting .290 with 11 SBs, 25 runs, 3 HRs, and 15 RBIs. Andres is owned in 16.1 percent of ESPN and 26 percent of CBS leagues.

Eric Patterson, Oakland A’s
Patterson had 4 SBs over the past 15 days while hitting .263 with 3 runs and an RBI. On the year, he’s hitting .228 with 6 SBs, 13 runs, 4 HRs, and 9 RBIs. He should get some extra ABs while Rajai Davis (hamstring) is out. Eric is available in virtually all fantasy leagues.

Trevor Crowe, OF, Cleveland Indians
Crowe had 3 SBs over the past 15 days despite hitting .208 with 3 runs and 4 RBIs. On the year, he’s hitting .242 with 6 SBs, 8 runs, 1 HR, and 11 RBIs. Trevor is owned in 0.5 percent of ESPN and 6 percent of CBS leagues.
