The New York Yankees called up Mason Williams less than 24 hours ago, and the young kid wasted no time making an impact. 

During the fourth inning against the Baltimore Orioles on Friday night, Williams hit a monster two-run home run to cut the Orioles' lead to two. It was the outfielder's first career hit.

Showalter Unsure of Jones' Timetable

According to Jon Meoli of the Baltimore Sun, Orioles manager Buck Showalter is unsure how long Jones' ankle injury could keep him out of the lineup:

It's funny to call the New York Yankees a "surprise" when they're succeeding, but given their recent history and roster limitations, not many figured they'd be leading the AL East at this point.
