David Ortiz doesn't play much golf, but his event every offseason attracts some of the most dedicated golfers in baseball.

Come summertime, Big Papi is still fueling the David Ortiz Children's Fund with events like his upcoming gala, which is sure to include plenty of Red Sox teammates and Dominican flavor.

This year, The Third Annual David Ortiz Children's Fund Gala will be held on June 22 at 6 p.m.

Boston Red Sox designated hitter David Ortiz has been suspended one game for bumping an umpire during Sunday's 8-3 loss to the Baltimore Orioles.  

We all knew the script. In his return from a season-long suspension, Alex Rodriguez was supposed to be over-the-hill dead weight in the middle of the New York Yankees' lineup in 2015.

Evidently, he must have lost his copy. All of a sudden, A-Rod is clobbering the ball all over the place and, in doing so, carrying an otherwise sluggish Yankees offense on his shoulders.

The Red Sox are off to a historically good start to the 2015 campaign, having won their first three series for the first time since 1952, when they won the first six series in an ultimately disappointing season, per ESPN Stats & Info.

Boston Red Sox All-Star third baseman Pablo Sandoval suffered a left foot injury against the Nationals on April 14. He exited the game in the third inning after being hit by a pitch, and his status is unclear.
