In what was claimed to be a regular off day for New York Yankee captain, Derek Jeter, 43,000-plus Canadian conspiracy theorists at the Roger's Center weren't having any of it.

Alex Roidriguez:

Guilty of steroid use.

Poor in the clubhouse.

Poor defense.

Beginning to age.

Doesn't hit too well.

Needs to go!

Alex Rodriguez may be a great hitter, but he is definitely not what the Yankees need.  The Yankees need some defense, a good, reliable outfielder, and a good pitcher.

Looking back on my days as a recruiter that specialized in placing candidates in the accounting field I will always remember one candidate’s quote that “the numbers tell a story” and regardless of what you are being told the “numbers do not lie”. 

With that said,

Like a story fit for Hollywood, Alex Rodriguez launched the first pitch he saw in 2009 over the left field wall.

Time seemed to stop momentarily as his bat connected with the pitch, and the Yankees quickly opened up a 3-0 first inning lead.

As for the idea that Alex Rodriguez could turn the Yankees season around, as a Red Sox fan, it's no laughing matter.

I don't care what he's done in the post-season, how many steroids he's taken over the years, or that he just had hip surgery.

He's still Alex Rodriguez.

Unlike Bucky "Bleeping" Dent or Aaron "Bleeping" Boone, A-Rod has done little to earn a swear as a middle name, but that's not to say he doesn't have time.

I'll come right out and say I was mentally drained until about two minutes before writing this.

When I'm mentally drained, I tend not to be able to put together a coherent thought. My one idea is to sit around and just stare at the television or the wall.

Sometimes I'll randomly click on links in my bookmarks toolbar, hoping to see something that will cure my mental drain.

Or my boredom.

Amongst several other allegations regarding Alex Rodriguez, it has been reported that Alex has tipped pitches to opposing hitters. It was part of “slump busting,” to boost stats during times when Alex or other hitters were slumping.

Allegedly, it was always done late when the games were basically already decided and was done for the benefit of other middle infielders, who Alex thought would “return the favor” when he was going through a slump.

Selena Roberts is coming out with a new tell-all book about Alex Rodriguez.

I haven’t read the book and only have heard tiny bits of information.  So far, it sounds like it doesn't have one ounce of journalistic value.
