Alex Rodriguez

Think about the Children

As most of us know, there is more to life then sports. Kids grow up watching their favorite athletes, and view them as role models. Baseball is America’s pastime, and arguably its most popular sport. Unfortunately, baseball has been sending a bad message to children.

When Alex Rodriquez got accused of steroids, the baseball world was shocked. Arguably the biggest baseball icon was accused of cheating. When he admitted to using steroids, the media attacked him with questions for a week and eventually the news dwindled down.

The New Yankee Saying: That's Alex

According to Buster Olney’s ESPN blog, the Yankees have stopped worrying about the stupid things Alex Rodriguez has done and said and now have adopted a new mantra: That’s Alex.

Alex Rodriguez: He Just Can't Stay Out of the Spotlight, Can He?

Here's A-Rod on the cover of this month's Details magazine.

The New York Yankees' 2009 Slightly Premature Preview

With all due respect to the Tampa Bay Rays, the two favorites are finally in the building—the New York Yankees and the Boston Red Sox.

I feel a little bad about doing this because it's one of the primary reasons people really hate these two franchises—they get all the hype no matter how recent and thunderous their failures.

Boston lost the American League East and the AL Championship Series to Tampa in 2008. New York failed to even qualify for the playoffs. Yet, here I am, touting both as the kings of the hill with no reason except offseason headlines.

A-Rod's Injury: True, or a Cover-Up by Major League Baseball?

The other day I was sitting around talking to my buddies, and we were talking about the whole Alex Rodriguez hip injury situation.

It was then that one of my friends said to me how convenient it was for A-Rod, with all of the controversy, to miss the first two months of the season.

And then we thought, "No way...could it be? Could A-Rod have tested positive in the offseason, and this is baseball's way of covering it up?"

Some Bud Selig lovers would say, "No Way!"

Cody Ransom: Athletic Freak? Johnny Damon and YouTube Say Yes

New York Yankees outfielder Johnny Damon barely hesitated long enough for the reporter's question to be completed before he tossed his answer forward.

When asked to name the most athletic player on the entire Yankee roster, Damon emphatically answered, "Cody Ransom."

After the reporter seemed slightly taken aback by his response, Damon added, "Have you been to YouTube yet?"

Albert Pujols: Juicer or Clean Player?

Easiest way to annoy a St. Louis Cardinals fan?

Tell them Albert Pujols used steroids. That will really fire them up.

Since 2001, the guy has set the league on fire. Also occurring in the early 2000s, baseball's steroids era.

Tell me its not reasonable to question Pujols. Do you remember the last guy with his build?

He played first base for the Cardinals, too, and he hit 70 home runs in 1998. Then, when his playing days were over, Mark McGwire told Congress in front of an eager television audience that he did not want to talk about the past.

New York Yankees Should Trade Alex Rodriguez

Do the Yankees need A-Rod to win the World Seres? NO. A

-Fraud has already showed the Yankees that he's great during the season but is a choke artist once the playoffs start. Yankee fans must be wondering how do you sign a player to a $400 million contract and no ring not even a trip to the World Series.

Jeter has four rings. How many has A-Rod got? He was suppose to be the face of the Yankees.
