The DNR 25: No. 10 Curtis Granderson

The DNR 25 is a list of my personal favorite Detroit Tigers players of the past 25 years. If you’ve missed any so far and care to catch up, here’s the previous five.

No. 15: Lance Parrish
No. 14: Frank Tanana
No. 13: Placido Polanco

Cincinnati Reds: 2010 Fantasy Baseball Preview

Another summer of the youth movement is upon us in Cincinnati. The Reds' roster is full of players that can be one of two things: deceptively appealing or the next big fantasy dynamo. It is tough to know what to expect from young players with potential, but taking the right chance could punch your ticket to the fantasy baseball winner's circle.  Here is what to expect from some of the Reds' youngsters.

Rangers' Josh Hamilton Suffers a Shoulder Injury

Whoever had under five hours in the “How soon into spring training will Josh Hamilton suffer an injury” office pool is a winner.

On the first day of full-squad workouts at the Texas Rangers camp, Hamilton suffered a left shoulder contusion diving for a ball during outfield drills. What on earth is Hamilton doing diving for a ball during outfield drills?

I would ask if he was on crack, but I already know the answer to that question.

Billy Martin Should Be Scorned Not Beloved

With exhibition games starting in March, MSG decided to air ESPN's hit miniseries "The Bronx Is Burning" this week as an appetizer.

This eight-series drama featured characters such as Billy Martin, George Steinbrenner, Reggie Jackson, Gabe Paul, Thurman Munson, Mickey Rivers and Fran Healy. Martin stood out more than the rest with his crazy personality.

It's remarkable why Yankees fans adore Martin despite the nonsense he pulled as the Yankees manager.

Minnesota Twins Part Ways with a Fan Favorite

The Twins have officially parted ways with one of the most popular figures of the last decade.

Don’t worry, Joe Mauer and Justin Morneau aren’t going anywhere, for now anyway.

2010 MLB Predictions: Fantasy All-Sleeper Team

The users at Mock Draft Central are using that website for a variety of purposes, including trying out new draft strategies, so the results aren’t something to take to the bank.

However, the calculated Average Draft Position (“ADP”) of each player is our best method of viewing where players could be drafted in similar leagues, and essentially how to gauge whether fantasy players are bullish or bearish on a particular ball player for the 2010 season.

MLB Offseason Grades: National League

Now that every major free agent has signed and most teams have their roster set, I think it’s now time to hand out some offseason grades. I will go with your standard A,B,C, etc. grading format and I will start in the National League.

St. Louis Cardinals: Grade: A

I love the fact that the Cardinals stepped up and re-signed Matt Holliday. They also brought in Brad Penny to replace Joel Pineiro, who is overrated.

2010 MLB Predictions: Your New York Mets!

Let's get excited for a New Year and some New Hope! So let's trim our Keith's mustache, get out Gary's wig, and say "Aloha" for Ron as we get set for another great year of Mets baseball!
This is my swing at the lineup for our 2010 Metsy's! I think that this lineup offers the Mets the best chance to provide some phenomenal offensive statistics in 2010! If only Jerry would see it my way...

Like Father, Like Son: Slugging Dads of Active MLB Players

Hockey has the Suter family, football has the Mannings and baseball had the Boones, Bells, Alous, and Bonds...take your pick.

Some families are blessed with so much talent that it's passed for one generation to another.

Even wrestling have famous families, like the Von Erich, Hart, and A'noi (Samoans) family.

Let's take a look at the dad's who provided their active sons with a "god gift" to play baseball.

A Yankee Fan Re-Writes The Ending to Fever Pitch

In a great baseball movie that had to warm the hearts of all Boston Red Sox fans, Jimmy Fallon played the role of an insane Boston Red Sox fan whose life revolved around the season tickets he had inherited from his uncle.

Fallon’s character was a math teacher who fell in love with Drew Barrymore, a yuppie executive climbing the ladder in her company who was barely conversant about baseball.
