2010 MLB Predictions: Ten Burning Questions for the Minnesota Twins

The Minnesota Twins’ Spring Training is officially underway.

That means that the Twins’ incredible playoff run in 2009 is officially part of the past and it’s time to look forward to the season ahead.

The 2010 season figures to be an exciting campaign for a club that is definitely in transition.

After 28 years, the Twins will be leaving the antiquated Metrodome for state-of-the-art Target Field.

Additionally, the club has—for the first time in recent memory—made some significant offseason additions to address the club’s weaknesses.

Nick Johnson's Injury History

Newsday ran down a list of Nick Johnson ’s injuries that he’s incurred over his career. I’m not going to copy that list word for word exactly, but they should get all the credit for this post.

Chicago White Sox: 2010 Fantasy Baseball Preview

After winning the AL central in 2008, the White Sox had high expectations going into the 2009 season.  Unfortunately for them, these high expectations turned into large disappointments after a third place finish.

So what should we expect in 2010?

Colorado Rockies Young Guns: Dexter Fowler & Carlos Gonzalez

Carlos Gonzalez  and Dexter Fowler  are set to take the NL West by storm in 2010. Both speedy outfielders are great additions to long-term keeper leagues, but what happens if you have to make a choice between Dex and CarGo?

Kei Igawa: Yankees Try to Salvage Their Pitching Investment

According to Joel Sherman of the NY Post, in an effort to salvage even a little bit of the $46 million they invested in him, the Yankees will use Kei Igawa strictly as a left-handed reliever in spring training and could even use him in that spot once the season starts, even if he’s in the minor leagues.

Phillies Transition at Third:From Pete Happy To Mr. Peanut Head

This article originally appeared on PhillyFanComplex.com .

My earliest memories of Phillies baseball were of muggy, rain-delayed July games at Veterans Stadium, with the season already a lost cause, and where the few thousand (drunk) fans in attendance huddled in the dark concrete concourses of the Vet.

Braves Stellar Farm System Improves, Add Edward Salcedo

The Braves have officially signed Dominican shortstop Edward Salcedo, one of the top unsigned prospects on the planet. Word is that he will start the year off in either Rome(A-) or Myrtle Beach(A+).

Save The Yankee Gate 2

As most of you know by now, the Yankees moved into a brand new stadium last season. The old Yankee Stadium is being torn down to make way for a large park that is expected to include baseball fields, a track, tennis courts, and more. Only one gate remains from the original 1923 Yankee Stadium.

That gate is Gate 2.

Yankee Stadium is currently being torn down and Gate 2 is expected to go with it.

See what you can do to save it!

Baseball Video Games: The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly

The game of baseball has been around since the 1800s but in the 1980s, a new way to play America’s favorite game was invented. 1985 saw the release of the Nintendo Entertainment System, an 8-bit way for kids to have fun. Many games were released for the gaming console, the most famous probably being Super Mario Brothers.

After the NES there was the Sega Genesis, the Super Nintendo, the Playstation, the Nintendo 64, Playstation 2, Game Cube, and Xbox…and the list goes on and on and on.

With these new gaming systems came a broad variety of baseball games.

2010 New York Yankees Offseason Review: the Javier Vazquez Trade Bolsters Staff

As Mark Teixeira grabbed the last out of the 2009 regular season, I screamed and applauded vigorously. As a lifelong Yankee fan, I have been spoiled by five championships and seven pennants in my lifetime. I got up early the next morning to buy my overpriced championship merchendise and I thought to myself "now what?" That was an easy question: "Gear up for a repeat!"
