Cubs' Kris Bryant Hits Grand Slam in 2nd Inning, His 2nd HR of Game

Chicago Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant is a stud—a bona fide, 110 percent, absolute stud.

The 23-year-old superstar put on a fireworks show earlier than expected on Independence Day, as his team jumped out to a 7-0 lead in the second inning against the Miami Marlins. The righty bombed a two-run dinger in the first inning and then rocketed a grand slam in the second.

Wrigley Field got wild, and so did Twitter:

Rays' Kevin Kiermaier Hits the Deck When Pigeon Flies Near His Head

Nothing ruins a big hit like a full-fledged bird attack.

In this case, outfielder Kevin Kiermaier didn’t quite get attacked by a rogue pigeon at the Tampa Bay Rays-New York Yankees game Friday night, but he did get scared.

And, like the grown man he is, Kiermaier dropped to the ground. At least he had a big RBI moments earlier in the top of the 12th.
