New York Mets pitcher Bartolo Colon is in the middle of just his second full season in the National League, and he's still not the best in the batter's box.

In the bottom of the third inning on Tuesday, the 41-year-old was at the plate against Baltimore Orioles hurler Bud Norris. On an 0-2 count, Colon struck out swinging, losing his helmet in the process.

After seeing a young San Francisco Giants fan get hit by a foul ball off the bat of Chris Iannetta during his team's weekend series at AT&T Park, Los Angeles Angels star Mike Trout did what he could to make the kid feel better.

Trout grabbed one of his bats and personally delivered it to the youngster. Judging by the smile on the kid's face, it's safe to say the kind gesture made his day.
