A very forgettable Yankees offseason is capped by a late signing of veteran starter Bartolo Colon to a minor league deal. The 37-year-old right-hander has enjoyed a great deal of success throughout his career, including a Cy Young in 2005.

Colon did not pitch last season and has not made it through an entire season since his Cy Young in 2005.

Along with Colon, the Yankees have also recently signed pitcher Mark Prior, who has not pitched in the big leagues since 2006.

The Oakland Athletics might not be done with their busy offseason yet.

A source told the Contra Costa Times that the A's are interested in Seattle Mariners' infielder Chone Figgins.

The current talk, according to the source, involves Oakland sending current third baseman Kevin Kouzmanoff and "perhaps a pitcher" to Seattle in exchange for Figgins.

A lot of moves go down during the offseason and that is what makes the Hot Stove so interesting compared to the other leagues. Some moves had turned teams around but there are also some moves that don't mean anything. In fact I (like every writer for the Bleacher Report) can think of 10 moves that will have zero impact on the season entering opening day.

I am pretty confident in saying the Indians have had the quietest offseason of any team this winter: Not one significant free agent signed, not one significant free agent lost, not one significant trade, not one nothing from the Indians.

The most significant move the Indians have made this offseason was bringing back Austin Kearns; I am not joking either—that’s been the level of their offseason.

New York Yankees fans will always remember former Arizona Diamondbacks closer Byung-Hyun Kim as the submarine pitcher from the 2001 World Series who blew saves in Games 4 and 5, giving up a combined three home runs.

Napoli was acquired just a few days ago in the blockbuster that saw long-tenured Blue Jay Vernon Wells shipped to the Los Angeles Angels. Juan Rivera was also sent to the Jays in that swap.
