Once thought of as a thin position in fantasy baseball, the 2B talent pool has grown considerably in the last few years; so much so that you could get good value for taking a second baseman in the later rounds. Here are my mid-spring training rankings for second basemen.

With less than three weeks till Opening Day (I don't count the night game before), Major League Baseball is almost here. So is your fantasy baseball draft. No better time than now to start preparing for it.

Here are my mid-spring training rankings for the closer position.

As baseball season approaches, many of us pore over spring training statistics to find some players worth taking in our fantasy drafts, so let’s take a look at some of the leaders and weigh their draftability.

Phil Coke, Detroit Tigers: Coke is 2-1 with a 1.38 ERA and a 0.92 WHIP, with nine strikeout in 13 innings. He’s worth a flier in deep leagues.

Clayton Kershaw, the Dodgers 2006 first-round draft pick, has slowly been gaining steam since making his Major League debut in 2008.  He’s been highly regarded since the day he first donned a Los Angeles Dodgers uniform, but his 2010 campaign showed us just how good he could be:
