Hey there, baseball fans. Die-hard baseball fan Evan Adrian  here, live blogging game 2 of the Reds-Phillies NLDS. Let's see if Roy Oswalt can follow Roy Halladay's lead and shut out the National League best Cincinnati Reds' offense.

Now we don't want to get ahead of ourselves, not quite yet. With a two games to none advantage in the American League Division Series battle against the Tampa Bay Rays, the mood surrounding this Rangers ballclub is rather positive. After comprehensively beating the Rays in the first two games, on the road no less, this Texas ballclub is brimming with confidence.

At the time of year when all the talk is of MVP hitters and Cy Young pitchers, many important players are often not even considered. Although MVP does include the term valuable, that award is usually given to the player who has produced the most offense, and the Cy Young to the pitcher with the lowest Earned Run Average.

For those who did not have the pleasure of watching Game Two of the ALDS between the Yankees and Twins, one of the biggest story lines was a controversial call in the seventh inning. With one out, two strikes, and Jorge Posada on first base, Carl Pavano threw a tailing fastball on the inside of the plate for what "should have" been strike three.

When it comes to describing the emotions of a middle-aged woman who witnessed Roy Halladay’s once-in-a-lifetime postseason feat, I simply don’t have the words.

My husband says, “Add that to the other things you don’t have: boobs and couth.”

That might be true, but he wasn’t disappointed the day I proved I didn’t have man-parts either.

I've had so many people ask me what is was like to be there last night—I can't articulate it.

It's impossible.

After the Phillies won the World Series in 2008, it took me until the morning before the parade, the parade I had dreamed of for far too long, to realize that every sports game I'd ever attended, every game I'd ever watched, every dollar I'd ever spent, every hour of sleep I'd ever lost, and every ounce of energy I'd ever exhausted, was all for that day. That morning. That moment.

How can today's slate of games possibly compare to the events of yesterday? Roy Halladay's first career playoff start was beyond exceptional and resulted in only the second no-hitter in playoff history!

Meanwhile, the Yankees yet again overcame an early deficit and stole home field advantage away from the wins. Lost in the shuffle will be Cliff Lee's terrific start against a potent Rays offense. Lee was lights out, giving up five hits and one run over seven innings while striking out ten.

Roy Halladay has already had a pretty impressive career, he's won a Cy Young award, thrown a perfect game, and played in seven All Star games. The only thing that Halladay didn't have on his resume was playoff experience. Coming into today Halladay had pitched in more games (320) than any other active pitcher who had never pitched in the postseason.

Today Halladay finally got to pitch in the playoffs, and he made the most of it to say the least....

Texas Rangers pitcher Cliff Lee pitched a great Game 1 of the the ALDS against the Tampa Bay Rays. The only problem is that he quickly took a back seat to Phillies pitcher Roy Halladay.

Earlier today, Roy Halladay of the Toro... Philadelphia Phillies just pitched the second no-hitter in Major League Baseball playoff history.

As a life-long Torontonian and die hard Blue Jay fan this was, to say the least, bittersweet.
