MLB announced the ruling Thursday and added that Olivera won't appeal the 82-game ban—which is retroactive to April 30. 

Mike Moustakas Injury Update: Royals Star out for Season with Torn ACL

Kansas City Royals third baseman Mike Moustakas was placed on the 15-day disabled list with a right ACL tear, the team announced Thursday.

The team recalled Brett Eibner from Triple-A Omaha.

MLB.com's Jeffrey Flanagan added that Moustakas is expected to miss the rest of the season:
