We are only a few weeks until it is the end of this decade, I was thinking and I decided that I would make the New York Baseball All-Decade Team.

This decade was great for the Yankees in winning two World Series but not great for the Mets in only making the playoffs a couple of times.

In fact, in the first World Series of the decade the two New York teams faced eachother in the Subway Series, The Yankees won the series in five games with Derek Jeter being named the MVP.

In this decade, both New York teams had players that will forever be a part of the franchises' history such as Piazza, Jet

In the mood for a nice tease, but don't feel like dropping by the bank to get some singles and let the wife know about your "very important work project?"

Last year, I did a ridiculously early playoff prediction.

I picked the Blue Jays and Mets to meet in the World Series... The Blue Jays started off the season on-fire and I got excited, but then failed... and the Mets were riddled with injuries.

However, I did get five out of the eight teams right -- the Rockies, Dodgers, Cardinals, Yankees, and Twins.

In an offseason where mediocre catchers have received some fairly sizable contracts (Jason Kendall and Ivan Rodriguez, just to name two), there are some teams who could be looking from within to fill their voids. 

While everyone’s mind instantly jumps to Buster Posey, the Astros have their own catching prospect who could emerge before 2009 comes to a close.
