The ALCS MVP Race Spelled Out: A-Rod or CC?

If 2004 taught us anything, besides how to properly apply fake blood on a sock for profound effect, it would be to assume nothing.

What you're about to read assumes absolutely nothing. Zilch. Nada. It lives solely in the moment.

The Yankees played one of their best all-around games of the season on Tuesday night, a 10-1 win over the Angels that put them one victory away from their 40th American League pennant.

Philadelphia Phillies Are One Step Closer to the World Series

The Phillies continue on their quest Wednesday to be the first National League team to win back-to-back World Series since the Big Red Machine of the Cincinnati Reds in the mid-70's.

They are one win away from getting back to the World Series for that second straight year. Former Phillies starter Vicente Padilla, and the somewhat snake bit Los Angeles Dodgers, remain standing, just barely, in their way.

After a devastating blown save and blown game by 100 mph pitcher Jonathan Broxton on Monday night, the Dodgers are hanging on by a thread.

MLB Proves Once Again It Will Protect Players That Deserve Punishment

The MLB finally had a chance to do the right thing in regards to a player that was caught cheating, but instead just as usual MLB turned its back on its fans! It's getting very old; this is the same MLB that allowed for steroids to become rampant.

Who was MLB protecting this time? The answer is Mariano Rivera. On camera there's a clip that shows Rivera clearly spitting on a baseball. Here's the clip if you want to see for yourself what Rivera did.

ESPN's Steve Phillips Affair With Brooke Hundley…Pictures tell an Ugly Story

It's official, ESPN's Steve Phillips has amazing taste in women. It was released today that Phillips had an affair with another lower level ESPN employee, Brooke Hundley. Phillips ended the affair and was then harassed and stalked by this "lovely" lady. She then proceeded to leave a letter on the front steps of the Phillips home addressed to Steve's wife. I don't know about you, but this chick seems like a winner! Let's look into this story...

The Daily WTF: Umps Miss Several Calls in ALCS Game 4

Before I begin, I’ll set my own record straight: this is not a diatribe to follow the lines of Game 6 of the NBA Western Conference Finals in 2002.

I’m not going to sit here and point fingers about conspiracy theories, all the while playing mysterious music in the background .

Stadium Review: Great American Ball Park

Great American Ball Park (GABP) officially opened its doors at the beginning of the 2003 season. Located on the Ohio River in downtown Cincinnati, it serves as the home of baseball's first professional team, the Cincinnati Reds. Despite the team still looking for its first winning season since moving in, Great American Ball Park remains a wonderful place to watch a baseball game.

Cleveland Indians' End Of Season Survey

At various points throughout the season, we try to take a bit of a step back and objectively review what has come to pass and what the future might hold for our Cleveland Indians.

We conducted a survey of Indians fans and experts at the beginning of the season, the All-Star break, and one last time when the 2009 season came to a close. Below, you will find our final conclusions on the Indians' 2009 season, based on the results of our last survey.

Detroit Tigers by the Numbers: Ron LeFlore

Since the 1931 season, the Detroit Tigers uniforms have featured numbers assigned to each player.  Our “By The Numbers” series takes a look at the best, or sometimes just the most interesting, player to wear each number.  We have reached number 8 in our series, if you would like to catch up on the first seven, click here to find the earlier installments.

Yankees-Angels: Sabathia, Rodriguez Give New York 3-1 Series Lead

So much for CC Sabathia not being able to pitch in the postseason, huh?

On just three days rest, New York Yankees ace CC Sabathia dominated the feeble Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim lineup and Alex Rodriguez hit yet another home run, as the Yankees crushed the Angels last night 10-1 to take a 3-1 lead in their best-of-seven ALCS.

However, before I get to my observations of last night’s action, I have to talk about something else first. I hate to talk about something outside the game itself, but in this case–it’s necessary.
