Wednesday night Michael Kay on YES Network said New York Yankee Manager, Joe Girardi never knew what he was going to get out of his bullpen.

That night, the Yankees had tied the score in the eighth inning on a bases clearing three run double by Mark Teixeira. Mariano Rivera had been brought in to stop the Tampa Bay Rays in the ninth and did his job.

Mark Buehrle was jovial after the sixth inning.

He was content enough with his situation in the game that when a fellow player asked how he was feeling in the dugout, he simply replied, "I've got a no-hitter."

Most pitchers treat talking about a no-hitter during a game the same as saying Macbeth before actors put on the play, but Buehrle didn't seem to have a care in the world. He was acting invincible, and he certainly looked like it, until the seventh inning.

According to Sports 620 KTAR's John Gambadoro, the Arizona Diamondbacks will fire manager Bob Melvin and will name his replacement prior to Arizona's game against the Washington Nationals on Friday night.

During a radio interview with 620 KTAR, Diamondback CEO Derrek Hall admitted that something needed to be done to fix the underachieving D-Backs.

If you had drafted Manny Ramirez in hopes that he would sign before the season started and just be Manny for the rest of the year, you looked like a genius up until today.

Performing Enhancing Drugs, steroids, HGH, hGC, geez oh man. What is baseball coming to these days? Why is it that players need these things to play better?

Well I am not here to answer those questions. Heck no. I would feign an attempt to answer those questions. I am not a "baseballologist" (baseball+some kind of -ology+ scientist), so I have the slightest of ideas as to why players take the stuff.

Not a bad choice, but I posted a comment that suggested Danny Ozark should be the manager. 

Today, God has selected Mr. Ozark.

Philadelphia Phillies' team officials have reported that Danny Ozark has died in his home in Vero Beach, Florida today. He was 85.

One thing is certain after one month of Atlanta Braves baseball; they’re not going to set any offensive records anytime soon.

It has been a comedy of errors for this struggling offense.

The ’09 version of the Braves offense has seen injuries to key contributors, continued streaky hitting at the leadoff spot, terrible base-running mistakes, and a lineup that changes daily.

As for the idea that Alex Rodriguez could turn the Yankees season around, as a Red Sox fan, it's no laughing matter.

I don't care what he's done in the post-season, how many steroids he's taken over the years, or that he just had hip surgery.

He's still Alex Rodriguez.

Unlike Bucky "Bleeping" Dent or Aaron "Bleeping" Boone, A-Rod has done little to earn a swear as a middle name, but that's not to say he doesn't have time.
