Predicting Boom or Bust on Each Hyped-up MLB Offseason Rebuild

From the reloaded Chicago Cubs to the restocked San Francisco Giants, there's no shortage of teams who have gone big during the MLB offseason.

Now that the hype machine is in full swing, it's time to look back at the winter and predict which club's offseason activity will translate to regular (and post) season success.

The first step was to scan the entire league to single out the franchises who have moved the most aggressively since the close of the 2016 campaign.

Michael Rae Papayans Charged in Alleged October Dodger Stadium Assault

Michael Rae Papayans of Palos Verdes, California, was charged with felony assault Thursday for an alleged October 2015 incident at Dodger Stadium.  

According to the Associated Press (h/t ESPN.com), Papayans is accused of punching a 50-year-old man who was wearing New York Mets gear following an Oct. 9 NLDS Game 1 playoff clash between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Mets.

Pirates Will Wear 1979 Throwback Uniforms During Sunday Games


The Pittsburgh Pirates are going back to their roots in 2016.

On Thursday, the team announced it would wear throwback uniforms from 1979 for Sunday games.

The pillbox hat features three stripes, the jersey is a pullover V-neck and the pants are "beltless" with gold lining.
