We made it. The end is here, and all that remains is the ever-entertaining postseason that never disappoints with its drama and intrigue.

Major League Baseball’s marathon season comes to an end Sunday. It has given us plenty of feel-good, fluffy stories as well as its fair share of controversy and ugliness. And both types were present right up until the end—the Minnesota Twins were the nice storyline, and Jonathan Papelbon gave us the despicable.

The Philadelphia Phillies are officially the worst team in baseball following Saturday’s pair of losses to the Miami Marlins. With another defeat in Sunday’s season finale, Philadelphia would post its first 100-loss season since 1969.

Hey, not sure if you've heard, but 2015 has been a pretty lousy season for the Washington Nationals.

OK, that's an understatement. More like an "epically disappointing" season. Or "colossally horrendous." Or, well, you get the idea.

The Washington Nationals have been mired in turmoil over the past week, but Max Scherzer made the pain of dugout brawls and clubhouse chaos disappear Saturday night as he twirled his second no-hitter of the season in a 2-0 win over the New York Mets at Citi Field. 

Despite owning the worst record in the National League Central, the Cincinnati Reds have no intentions of making a managerial change once the season ends. According C. Trent Rosecrans of the Cincinnati Enquirer, Reds general manager Walt Jocketty confirmed Bryan Price will remain with the team through 2016.

A long and treacherous MLB season finally is beginning to take shape, with almost all of the spots filled for what promises to be a scintillating 2015 postseason on the road to the World Series.

As the Seattle Mariners begin to evaluate things to prepare for 2016, the fate of manager Lloyd McClendon remains up in the air with new general manager Jerry DiPoto.

According to USA Today's Bob Nightengale, there are conflicting feelings between DiPoto and rival executives about what the future holds for McClendon in Seattle:

Or at least you’d think it was, based on the reaction of the fan who caught it.

The guy picked it up, danced, yelled, ignored high-fives, ran in place—it was human excitement at its purest.

Surprise: You won't find anything about the Boston Red Sox on the pages that follow. Disappointed? Sorry, but the Sox are who we thought they were heading into the season—a team that, despite a talented offense, lacked the pitching necessary to actually contend for a playoff spot in 2015.

But you never really know just what to expect over the course of baseball's six-month regular season, which routinely makes preseason predictions look foolish and even the most well-informed fans and pundits appear to have limited knowledge of America's pastime.

All eyes will be on free agents like David Price, Johnny Cueto and Jason Heyward this offseason, but considering the limited number of Major League Baseball teams able to get in a bidding war for that trio, under-the-radar stars and bounce-back candidates are more valuable commodities.
