Matt Williams had some questions waiting for him after the Washington Nationals' 8-7 loss to the New York Mets on Tuesday night.

With the minor league playoffs set to begin on Wednesday, now is the perfect time to take a look back at the performance of each team's top prospects.

As the hunt for October begins to gain steam, it's time to take a look at some of the problems still facing MLB postseason contenders.

Now, some of the problems might be minor ones, but in a one-game playoff or five-game series, anything can happen in baseball. We saw what happened last season when two wild-card teams made it all the way to the World Series. All it takes is for a team to get hot at the right time and the dreams of a Fall Classic can quickly slip away.

Almost from the moment Carlos Correa made his big league debut with the Houston Astros, he looked like the front-runner in the American League Rookie of the Year race. But the Minnesota Twins' Miguel Sano has muscled his way into the mix, and he could sprint ahead with a scalding September.

The division was once a runaway, and that was as recently as a week ago. 

New York Mets center fielder Yoenis Cespedes has arguably the best arm in all of baseball, but in order to show it off, he's got to field the ball first.

That's a problem he ran into during Tuesday night's game against the Washington Nationals.

In the bottom of the sixth inning, Nationals center fielder Michael Taylor stepped to the plate with the bases loaded and just one out. On an 0-1 pitch, he hit the ball back up the middle.
