As we noted recently, an invasion of young players that began a couple of years ago has hit its zenith in 2015. Many of baseball's best prospects have arrived, and as a bonus, some unheralded youngsters have also broken through and shown star potential.

For the vast majority of teams, the biggest burning question relates to the trade deadline. Trade season is already underway, but many teams have yet to determine whether they'll be buying or selling.

The Los Angeles Dodgers' lead in the National League West is just 1.5 games, which can be seen as both a positive and a negative at this point of the season. On one hand, the team has suffered massive injuries to key contributors and remains in first place. On the other hand, though, it has gotten some surprisingly positive performances but has been unable to build any kind of lead on San Francisco.

As the season goes on and the injuries pile up for the Cincinnati Reds, the organization needs to start thinking about what it should do for the rest of the season.
