Around the country, it's starting to feel like baseball season as MLB teams begin rounding into form. Daily fantasy players can finally see trends beginning at the plate and on the mound in DraftKings leagues.

Heading into Monday night, owners have to pick through myriad lineups to find the best players in every matchup. Prior to the long slate of games getting underway, here's a look at the top studs and duds for April 20.

Everybody loves a high-scoring game, one that features multiple lead changes, a handful of big knocks—maybe even a moonshot or two—and a final score that more resembles your weekend softball league than what we've come to expect in Major League Baseball.

If you're looking for such a game, might I suggest taking a trip out to Colorado's Coors Field, the granddaddy of all hitter-friendly ballparks for the better part of two decades.

After the Oakland Athletics' Brett Lawrie injured Kansas City Royals shortstop Alcides Escobar with a questionable slide Friday night, everyone knew that Lawrie would be hit on Saturday.

It wasn't a matter of "if." It was a matter of "when."

The A's touched up Royals starter Yordano Ventura for a five-spot in the top of the fourth inning of Saturday's game. Lawrie stepped to the plate with one out in the inning, setting the stage.

Bryce Harper really liked this pitch from Philadelphia Phillies right-hander Aaron Harang.

He really, really liked it.

On a 3-1 count in the bottom of the fifth inning, Harper sent Harang's offering all the way over the center field fence and off the wall. There was absolutely no doubt about it from the moment it left the bat—Phillies shortstop Freddy Galvis didn't even move.

The estimated distance: 461 feet.

The San Diego Padres were dealt an injury blow Saturday, as Justin Upton injured his quad in the team's loss against the Chicago Cubs.

Upton's Status Day-to-Day After Suffering Quad Injury

Dennis Lin of U-T San Diego provided an update on Upton's status after the game:

As Major League Baseball looks to protect its pitchers from comebackers, New York Mets pitcher Alex Torres is doing his part to promote safety.

Last season, Torres—then with the San Diego Padres—wore a protective hat that made him look very odd on the field. 

The San Francisco Giants have gotten off to a rough start in 2015 and will now be without right-handed pitcher Jake Peavy due to an ailing back. Peavy was taken out of his start against the Arizona Diamondbacks on Friday night after 3.2 innings due to back stiffness.

This Chicago Cubs fan knows that when a baseball lands in your cup, you have to chug your drink.

With her Cubbies up 6-2 in the top of the ninth against the San Diego Padres on Saturday, this fan likely figured she'd be consuming an early victory beer. Instead, the Padres came roaring back with four runs in the ninth, sending the game into extra innings.

After being banned from the sport in 1989, Pete Rose is finally coming back to baseball—as a television analyst for Fox Sports.  

The Royals announced that Greg Holland was placed on the 15-day DL Saturday with a right pectoral strain.
