It's been hard to be a Milwaukee Brewer fan for the last 25 years or so. Only a handful of memories stick out.

But then 2011 came along.

One of the most memorable seasons started when the Brewers acquired Nyjer Morgan from the Washington Nationals.

Nyjer Morgan was the Brewers fans favorite player in 2011. The eccentric "T-Plush" brought enthusiasm and energy night in and night out.

When the Colorado Rockies' Todd Helton dug into the batter’s box on a bright Sunday afternoon, everybody was thinking it, but nobody dared believe it.

All 36,690 fans at Coors Field stood in anticipation as their longtime leader stared in the face of a dream situation: bases loaded, late in the ballgame, trailing by four. Oh, and he’s the pinch hitter.

The first month of the 2012 Major League Baseball season is over, so let us all sit back and entertain various "If the season ended today..." scenarios.

For example, who would win the American League Cy Young if the season ended today?

Good question. Jake Peavy is an outstanding candidate, and at this point we have to recognize Yu Darvish as a legit Cy Young contender. Very quietly, Felix Hernandez has looked a lot like the pitcher who won the AL Cy Young back in 2010.

Milwaukee Brewer Ryan Braun did something pretty remarkable at Petco Park on Monday night. The left fielder blasted three home runs and hit a triple, resulting in six RBI and 15 total bases.

We've seen players hit three home runs in a game before. Heck, Curtis Granderson did it less than two weeks before Braun.

It was one of the biggest mysteries concerning Josh Hamilton‘s ability on the field. During the past couple seasons, he was a superstar during night games but looked somewhat mortal when the sun was up.

It should be noted that Hamilton’s at bats during the evening more than double his amount during day games. But, his stats still told an interesting story. 

Before the 2012 season began, an early May series between the Philadelphia Phillies and Atlanta Braves would've been expected to be a big matchup, one that would help determine the NL East winner and likely a postseason wild card. 

I hate Matt Kemp.

As a diehard San Francisco Giants fan, I'm contractually obligated to hate the best player on the Los Angeles Dodgers and that is, most definitely, Kemp. Right now, the 27-year-old is the best player in Major League Baseball and the competition ain't particularly close. So, with all due respect to Clayton Kershaw, Kemp is the finest specimen the Bums have to offer and has been for several years now.

I heard of Paul Janish's possible injury yesterday. Today it's been confirmed by beat writer John Fay that Janish broke his wrist when he was hit by a pitch in Saturday's game against the Norfolk Tides.

Janish will be placed on the DL and is likely to miss 6-8 weeks (standard recovery time from a broken wrist).

The Toronto Blue Jays are a team on the rise and appear to be on the verge of taking the next step in arguably the toughest division in baseball.  

Albert Pujols was having one of the greatest starts to an MLB career of all time. In Pujols' 11 full seasons, all with the St. Louis Cardinals, he hit at least .299, 30 homers, scored 99 runs and drove in 99 more in all of them. 

However, it's clear Pujols' skill-set is rapidly declining, and faster than we could have ever imagined.
