With the Boston Red Sox's bullpen basically still in shambles, moves need to start being made. The Boston relievers are among the worst in the league statistically, and Daniel Bard's week in the bullpen might not be a permanent move.

So who should Boston pursue for more help? Mike Gonzalez.

To the delight of many Red Sox fans across Red Sox Nation, we heard an announcement in the eighth inning of last night’s meeting against the Minnesota Twins: Daniel Bard was warming up in the bullpen.

I have not had good experiences with fantasy baseball in the past.

First and foremost, I was terrible at it. I would say that I could identify a comfortable 95 percent of current players by name, but that doesn’t mean I know how to fashion them into a successful fantasy franchise.

Over at Baseball Prospectus today, the estimable Sam Miller has a (free) piece on Albert Pujols’ slow start and whether it’s due to an expanding personal strike zone. He concludes that it just might be:

Starlin Castro has quickly established himself as one of the best shortstops in the league.

He led the National League in hits (207) and at-bats (674), and also popped 10 home runs while collecting 66 RBI. His slash line of .307/.341/.432 was also very impressive.

Early in this season, Castro is putting up great numbers.

He's played in all 17 games, while driving in eight runs and posting a line of .358/.389/.478.

If you're a fan of the New York Yankees, the best way to show your allegiance is to wear a Yankees cap.

If you must, you can also boast about the team's 27 world championships. Just don't be surprised when your audience responds by rolling his/her/their eyes.

Maybe these things aren't enough for you. Maybe you don't want people to just see that you're a Yankees fan. Maybe you want people to be able to smell your Yankees fanhood.

Washington Nationals' prospect Tyler Moore made the first start of his career in left field on Monday. He previously played first base exclusively.

Moore possesses an extremely powerful bat, mashing 68 home runs since the 2010 season.

He's hit 31 home runs in each of the past two seasons and is off to a hot start thus far. In 17 games (62 at-bats), Moore has six home runs, 16 RBI and a line of .290/.357/.613.

Major League Baseball teams are built on having a great farm system. We have seen what happens when you try to build a team through free agency. The draft is imperative to the success of a franchise, and some teams need to hit big this year. 

That is not to say that there are teams who can just punt their pick, but we all know that some farm systems are in need of a lot of talent right now.

On Tuesday night in Texas, two natives of Japan will match up when the Yankees’ Hiroki Kuroda takes the mound against the Rangers’ Yu Darvish.

New York Yankees prospect Jose Campos had been nearly unhittable in his three starts prior to Sunday's start against West Virginia.

Campos did not factor in the decision—the River Dogs came back from a 3-0 deficit in the bottom of the ninth—but he still pitched very well.

In six innings of work, Campos allowed two runs on eight hits and one walk. He struck out five.

Sixty-one of his 88 pitches went for strikes.
