Once again, Los Angeles Angels' highly touted prospect Brandon Wood is proving he can master the art of hitting at the minor league level. Problem is, it doesn't resonate at the major league level.

Yankee bobo Michael Kay was at it all weekend long. He mentioned that Cliff Lee is cheating with that resin cap, and then he talked about how it was all over for the Rangers after the Yankees won in Game 1.

This is the type of analysis we get from a play-by-play man and talk-show radio host in town. Is it any wonder why Kay gets ripped often by Phil Mushnick and Bob Raissman?

There has been much consternation and gnashing of teeth over why there are fewer African-Americans populating the major league baseball landscape. While the reasons aren't simple, I will attempt to break it down in this article.

Yesterday, SI.com’s Jon Heyman tweeted that Mets have been ‘asking around about Daniels.' Even though Jon Daniels is still under contract with the Rangers, the native New Yorker and childhood Mets fan still tops the list of the Mets need for a new GM, along with GM veteran Sandy Alderson.

He is able to opt out of his contract with the Rangers because of the change in ownership of the team, but the question still remains: will he do this?

In creating a winning team, as the Rangers have, it's not just who you have on the team, but who you DON'T have. One reason that the Rangers are in the ACLS in 2010 is because they had dumped a number of talented players that nevertheless could have hurt the team.

Some of the better trades were those of older players for younger talent with greater potential.
