MLB Preview: AL Central

Each year, the AL Central has a new king. It could be the hardest division to predict in baseball. Maybe the Tigers will live up to last season's expectations that fell short, or maybe the White Sox will win back-to-back division titles. Whoever it may be, the race for the AL Central is always close, and makes for a good September.

Poll: Grading the '09 Seattle Mariners' commercials

You can view all five of this year’s commercials by CLICKING HERE.

Because we’re looking for something to do, we’ve decided to grade the 2009 Seattle Mariners' commercials.  We’re just weird like that.  All grades are out of five stars.  Also, cast your vote for your favorite ‘09 M’s commercial at the bottom of the article.

List of All-Time Tampa Bay Rays Players

I continue the all-time tour with the defending AL Champion Tampa Bay Rays.

Since we’re dealing with over a century and thousands of players on my lists, I will assume the DH role for both leagues. I will limit the teams to 25 players. I’ll carry 13 batters and 12 pitchers for each team.

The top 10 Brewers prospects

As the 2009 Brewers season is upon us, it's time to not look ahead to what's gonna happen in the next few months but for the next few years. For most of the 21st century the Brewers has been known for their depth in the farm system. From Bill Hall and Ben Sheets to Prince Fielder and Ryan Braun. This year's group of prospects will be no different, so here's my opinion on who's the top 10 Brewers prospects for 2009.

Bernie Williams Will Attend New York Yankees' Home Opener

Found these tidbits in an article in Newsday. The article was about Bernie's desire to play baseball, and thought this news might matter to fans.

Williams also said he will be on hand when new Yankee Stadium opens with its first regular-season game April 16.

Glavine dusts off cobwebs against Detroit.

The line of pitchers in the mix for fifth starter for the Atlanta Braves is indeed a very crowded one. The sentimental favorite is future Hall of Famer and Brave icon, Tom Glavine.

2009 NL Central Predictions: Surprises And Disappointments

Here are my NL Central predictions for 2009. Remember, it's all my opinion.

Predicting the 2009 MLB Season: American League Version

Every year I do this.

I will pick two or three things out for each team that most people won't pay attention to when it happens, unless they get big enough for the average fan to care.

Let’s start off with the American League.

Baltimore Orioles

Nick Markakis will emerge as an MVP candidate, but since he's not A-Rod, he won't get votes, although Baltimore will finish better than A-Rod's Rangers did.

Nick Adenhart Shows Signs Of Maturity

"Make up" is a very important term when it comes to evaluating young pitchers.  Sometimes it is referred to as an intangible attribute, scouts may mention a pitcher that has the positive aspect of this trait as having great mound presence or they will say that he performs well under pressure.  Young arms like Adenhart sometimes never progress past the levels where they cannot rely on pure "stuff" alone.

The Simpsons Softball Team: 2009 Edition

When one begins discussing the best Simpsons episodes of all time, there are several that shouldn't be overlooked.

You can't go without "Monorail," the one where Mr. Burns finds his stuffed Bobo, or the "Itchy and Scratchy Movie."

For baseball purposes, it’s quite clear that “Homer at the Bat” is the greatest of all-time.

But this is an episode that needs to be re-made with today's players.
