Pigeon Gets in the Way During Infield Single at Brewers-Rockies Game

A hungry pigeon apparently couldn't find any food on Friday night, so it decided to check out the infield at Coors Field. This normally wouldn't have been a problem, but the Milwaukee Brewers and Colorado Rockies were in the middle of a game.

The pigeon was stationed in front of Brewers second basemen Hernan Perez and wouldn't move. Perez tried to shoo off the bird, but he had no luck.

NYC Tabloids Mock Alex Rodriguez's 3,000th Career Hit

Alex Rodriguez homered for his 3,000th career hit against the Detroit Tigers on Friday night at Yankee Stadium off Justin Verlander. The New York Yankees slugger became just the 29th player in MLB history to reach that milestone.

Daily Fantasy Baseball 2015: Best DraftKings MLB Pitcher Picks for June 20

Daily fantasy baseball can sometimes feel like a crapshoot. But there are always spots where dedicated fantasy players find advantages. Here are five pitchers I feel will more than likely outscore their projection.

Identifying the Perfect Fit for Each Coveted MLB Trade Chip

One of Bud Selig’s primary goals in adding a second wild-card playoff spot to both leagues was to put more teams in postseason contention, creating more excitement and fan interest throughout the summer.

A consequence of achieving that goal has been tamping down the trade buzz heading into the All-Star break, one of the game’s most exciting and heavily debated portions of the regular season.

Chris Sale's Strikeout Streak Highlights Lefty's Ascension to MLB's Elite

Any day you join a club that counts Randy Johnson and Pedro Martinez as its only other members is a good day.

On Friday, Chris Sale had a good day, even if his Chicago White Sox decidedly did not.

A-Rod Paints Contrasting Picture in Mirroring Derek Jeter's 3,000-Hit Moment

NEW YORK  Four years ago, it was easy to know what to think.

It was easy to know how to feel.

Derek Jeter got to 3,000 hits in the most Derek Jeter of ways, and it wasn't just Yankees fans who celebrated. Even now, four years later, the pitcher who gave up Jeter's 3,000th hit can talk about how "special" that day was.

Chris Sale Becomes 3rd Player in History with 12 Strikeouts in 5 Straight Games

It's possible that Chris Sale isn't human.

The Chicago White Sox pitcher once again absolutely dominated, pitching eight innings and giving up just two hits and no walks, while striking out 14 against the Texas Rangers. Tragically, he was awarded a no-decision after David Robertson blew the save opportunity in the top of the ninth and the Rangers won the game, 2-1.

Rodriguez Becomes 2nd Player to Record 3,000th Hit in Yankees Uniform

New York Yankees designated hitter Alex Rodriguez recorded the 3,000th hit of his career on a solo home run off of Detroit Tigers pitcher Justin Verlander in the first inning of Friday's 7-2 win, joining Derek Jeter as the only players to reach the 3,000-hit mark in a Yankees uniform, per ESPN Stats & Info.
