Disgruntled Diamondbacks Take Fight Into Dugout

Well, this was bound to happen. It was only a matter of time before the Arizona Diamondbacks started to turn on their new skipper and themselves.

Friday night, D-Backs starting pitcher Doug Davis had words for new manager A.J. Hinch after Davis was pulled in the seventh inning for a pinch hitter in a loss to the Atlanta Braves. Davis had only thrown 80 pitches, given up four hits, and given up three runs (two earned). Arizona was down by just one.

New Photos Page and Whatnot

A friend of mine back in the Fifth Grade told me that if you put the words “and whatnot” at the end of your sentences, you’ll sound smart. Best advice I’ve ever been given.

Anyway, I recently uploaded a new Photos Page which you can get to by clicking the link up top. It’s a work in progress and I’ll be constantly updating it with new photos, especially after games I’ve been to.

People I Can Do Without at a Baseball Game

As I was sitting at the Diamondbacks game last night against the Nationals, I was growing more and more agitated as the D-backs left more and more men on base.

So, I found even the little things were agitating me.  Besides I had the time since the game was entering boredomville.

Don’t get me wrong, most people that show up at a baseball game are true and genuine fans, however there are people I can do without at the baseball game…

Arizona Diamondbacks: Bob Melvin to Be Fired

According to Sports 620 KTAR's John Gambadoro, the Arizona Diamondbacks will fire manager Bob Melvin and will name his replacement prior to Arizona's game against the Washington Nationals on Friday night.

During a radio interview with 620 KTAR, Diamondback CEO Derrek Hall admitted that something needed to be done to fix the underachieving D-Backs.

Arizona Diamondbacks: Walk This Way

The Arizona Diamondbacks may have found a way to win without hitting. They walk...and walk...and walk. We can complain about the lack of hitting all we want and trust me, I do my fair share. However, this team has been showing a propensity to walk, a lot.

Last night against the Milwaukee Brewers was no different. After walking 10 times against the Chicago Cubs on Wednesday—three of them with the bases loaded—they pulled it off again last night. They received another bases loaded walk.

Diamondbacks Will Be Finally Hitting the Road

It is true.  Major League Baseball has scheduled road games for the Arizona Diamondbacks this season.  As much as they’ve grown comfortable living at home for the first 18 of 21 games, it was bound to happen.

Save for one short road jaunt to San Francisco against the Giants, the Diamondbacks will finally get to take to the road for eight games in three cities.

D'backs Lose Another Series

Make that five out of six series that the D'Backs have lost, so far, to start the season.  After falling 5-1 to the Giants Friday and 5-3 on Saturday, the D’backs assured themselves of another losing series.

The story seems to be more of the same.  Here is my top ten list of reasons why the D'Backs are not winning.

Diamondbacks Awarded 2011 All Star Game

The midsummer classic will be coming to the Valley of the Sun for the first time in 2011.  With Bud Selig in attendance, Diamondbacks play by play man Daron Sutton made the announcement aired on the MLB network Saturday.

The Diamondbacks have been attempting to host the All Star game since being granted a Major League franchise in 1995.  The D-Backs began Major League competition in 1998 and Chase Field has been their home ever since.  It was the first retractable dome stadium with natural grass.

Arizona Diamondbacks: Lineup Analysis

In part two of this article, we'll take a look at Arizona's lineup.  While it does lack the offensive firepower of both the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Colorado Rockies, it features a slew of talented young players just waiting to break out.
