Mets vs. Dodgers Game 2: Live NLDS Score and Highlights

The Los Angeles Dodgers evened the NLDS at 1-1 with a 5-2 victory over the New York Mets. L.A. scored four runs in the seventh inning for the comeback victory. After a questionable Chase Utley slide, Adrian Gonzalez delivered for the Dodgers with a two-RBI double to put the Dodgers ahead. 

Game 3 will take place in New York Sunday night at 8:37 p.m. ET.

A crazy second inning that saw St. Louis commit a pair of errors and Chicago score five runs was ultimately the difference in Game 2 of the NLDS between the longtime rivals which is now tied at one game apiece.

Jorge Soler, who got the start in right field over Kyle Schwarber, reached base four times, going 2-for-2 with a mammoth solo home run and a pair of walks, while Travis Wood, Trevor Cahill and Hector Rondon provided the Cubs with 4.1 innings of scoreless relief.

An old-fashioned pitching duel between good friends Jon Lester and John Lackey turned into a 4-0 victory for the St. Louis Cardinals as they jumped out to a 1-0 series lead over the Chicago Cubs.

Lester wound up the hard-luck loser after leaving the game with one on in the bottom of the eighth, as reliever Pedro Strop immediately served up a two-run bomb to Cardinals rookie outfielder Tommy Pham, who was taking his first career playoff at-bat.

Lloyd McClendon Fired as Seattle Mariners Manager

After just two seasons as the manager of the Seattle Mariners, both without a playoff appearance, Lloyd McClendon is without a job.

Ryan Divish of the Seattle Times first reported McClendon would be relieved of his duties due largely to a change in the balance of power in Seattle's front office. Fox Sports' Ken Rosenthal confirmed the firing.
