The Mets started the year off with Ryan Church as their starting right fielder in his second year with the team. 

Though an average batter, Church has a great glove in right field.

Ryan Church routinely made spectacular plays but just couldn't do much with the stick. 

He also wasn't on manager Jerry Manuel's good side. Jerry Manuel won't admit it, but he disliked Church, which is putting it nicely.

Jerry would usually ignore Church in the dugout and, most likely, also in the clubhouse. 

Over the course of the offseason, I've looked at a few individual players and also broke down the starting pitching situation for the Oakland A's.
Rather than continuing with the individual approach, I thought it would be better to present everyone in the organization by position, and offer a brief breakdown of where they stand going into 2010.
I'll start behind the plate.
Here are 16 catchers in the organization, some information about them, and what to expect from them in 2010.

There was no question that interest in first baseman Adrian Gonzalez would come from all different sides, but there was a question about whether the Padres would or could trade him.

The short list on the 40-man roster became even shorter late last night, as the Blue Jays whittled their roster down from 38 players to 37 after tendering contracts and non-tendering one...that of Raul Chavez.

It seems hard to believe, but we are almost to the year 2010. And with any impending new decade, it seems only fair to look back on the best of the previous 10 years.

So with that, I present my top 10 picks from each position between the years 2000-2009, starting with the 10 best starting pitchers.

Well the non-tender deadline has come and gone, and the Mets made a few interesting decisions regarding the future of some of the players that were on the roster last year. This team is going to have a very different look this year, and that is something that definitely needed to be done.
