If you're unfamiliar with the Philadelphia Phillies 2011 pitching rotation, then chances are you've been living under a rock.

This off season the Phillies made one of the highest profile signings of the year. In December, Cliff Lee signed a $120 million contract to rejoin the team that he unwillingly left a few years earlier.

With a tad under two weeks before Superbowl XLV and a lack of sports news to report, ESPN finds some time to get their new w-brand some readers.

The list of candidates for the 2010 American League Most Valuable Player was a rather different bunch than in previous years.  Which, perhaps, made the voters default to the old thinking of “pick the best player on a playoff team”. Catcher Mike Napoli didn't have much time to get used to the idea of being a Toronto Blue Jay because the Jays have traded him to the Texas Rangers.

After five seasons behind the dish for the Los Angeles Dodgers, Russell Martin signed a lucrative one-year contract to suit up as the catcher for the New York Yankees.

Martin became the face of the franchise over the past few seasons for the Dodgers. Though injuries plagued him in 2010, Martin still established himself as one of the top backstops in the game.
